Perfect Way to Supplement Your Kidâs Jiu Jitsu Drilling
First thing out the gate that I must acknowledge is that this grappling dummy is a challenge to fill. I spent a sweat-filled hour attempting to wedge old clothes into the hands, arms, feet, and legs. However, once it was filled, the fun began!Our oldest, a 9yo phenom who wants to be a world champion, immediately got to work. She made the rule that his name is Buddy, because we donât want to call it a âdummyâ. I can get behind that decision, so Buddy it is! Our middle daughter (6yo) is having fun working out of mount position and side control. Even our youngest (4yo), who does not yet train, is fascinated by such a unique training tool.This has been a game-changer for both our oldest and middle daughtersâ training. It is very durable, standing up to the rigorous twisting and pulling without showing any signs of wear and tear. Its lifelike size and flexibility allow for a realistic training experience in a variety of positions. We have been able to drill buggy chokes, Choi bars, triangle chokes, etc.Above all, it gives the readily available training partner that kids need in order to experiment. Certain techniques wonât work for my kids to try on me, as I am too big, and they donât always want to play uke for each other. Buddy is always there, ready to be twisted, bent, and choked however they need.I highly recommend this grappling dummy to any parent looking to augment their childâs Jiu Jitsu journey.

Good size great material
This kids BJJ dummy is a great tool to keep practicing after class when everyone else leaves or at home. We love the size it’s near perfect for our son. He’s 4’6″ and weights 78 lbs. The material feels great, it’s very sturdy but flexible and looks like it can take a beating. Stitching looks great.The dummy comes empty, I bought fiberfill at hobby lobby for $15 for the limbs and used old kids clothes for the rest of the body and was able to distribute the weight throughout the dummy.

Great training tool for home!
Initial thoughts on the grappling dummy are itâs a very high quality material for the price! It’s a perfect size for my 6 year old and will be for years to come. Thick and well stitched it looks like itâs solid and will hold up. We had several old towels so we used strips from those to fill it and it worked out well. We are able to practice guard passes, side mount, arm bars etc.Overall i canât see any issues and our children have been able to use it well and itâs a worthwhile addition to our jujitsu home practice toolbox.

Perfect size and unmatched quality
This product was perfect for my 6 year old. She just started jiu jitsu and this helped her confidence immensely. The material is quality and all the zippers are very secure. I’ve used other adult dummies and Elite’s feels tougher and like it will last longer. Highly recommend for any kid starting jiu jitsu.

The material is amazing. The dummy has henge point on the hips making it moves better. It comes with an elastic band and mounting bracket, which most dummyâs donât.The zipper is conveniently covered by a sturdy Velcro patch. The weight depends on how much filling you put in it.It does not come with filling, however it is amazing value for the money. It looks and feels amazing too.
