Customers say
Customers like the taste, quality and energy of the protein supplement powder. For example, they mention it’s the best casein powder they’ve tasted, it keeps them fuller longer and is excellent for weight training. They appreciate the thick texture and say it mixes to a nice creamy thickness. Opinions are mixed on mixing.

Great to get my needed protein!
So far, I am in love with this protein. I have finished one 2lb container of the Chocolate Supreme.I choose Casein Protein because I wanted a slow digesting protein. I drink it for breakfast so it keeps me full until lunch. I drink this with 12 ounces of 1% milk with a “heaping scoop” of this protein power. The combination of milk and protein powder is very rich and delicious. I don’t have any trouble drinking it down, though I take about 20 minutes to do so because its so filing. I use this 20 ounce blender bottle and this is the only thing I drink in the morning. It mixes more effectively if you put the liquid in the cup first, then add the powder and then shake the bottle. I have found that when I do it this way, I do not have any clumps in it. (When I buy a new Blender Bottle, I will switch to the 28 ounces because the 20 is just a little too small so sometimes the powder gets stuck to the roof before it even has time to mix in.)I have found that using less than 10 ounces of milk creates a gross consistency. Casein protein has an amazing ability to gel (which is what helps keep you full) but it is unpleasant to drink if it is so thick, so I always use at least 12 ounces of milk. This is a really effective way for me to get all of my protein during the day. I work out on a daily basis, but not at the level where I need whey protein (I walk/run 10 miles a day and do some minor strength training and don’t eat quite enough meat.)This does not have gluten in it; but it is milk based.Overall, I will buy it again once I run out.

I was gaining a lot of pounds from stress eating and decided to use this as a meal replacement and I am so glad I did
I’m a cancer scientist and I am very particular about my health and what goes into my body. I was gaining a lot of pounds from stress eating and decided to use this as a meal replacement and I am so glad I did. I still eat a balanced diet as a base for my diet, but replacing my dinner or breakfast (or both depending on how busy I am) with this has really saved my life. I have more energy and I am getting back to my original weight. One small little warning though, this will make your poop a little harder than usual because of all the protein, so make sure you are eating a lot of fiber in the rest of you meals. Great taste though!

Well this is the best casein powder I’ve tasted even though I think most are kind of gross. I really didn’t like that my product came half full. It was worse than a bag of potato chips, legit only half full with the Casein powder. I plan to make a formal complaint to the company but just know you are only getting about half of this container worth of powder. Again the product itself seems to be good but I hated that I felt like I got ripped off.

Great taste and a great way to add more protein
Was looking for a nice flavor that was a casein type protein mix. Had previously been just downing the Premier Protein premade shakes but realized that they’re just from concentrate and they’re not very cheap.Pros: – Love the taste – Mixes to a nice creamy thickness at 12oz of water (or thinner if you add more water) – Seems to fill me up for a whileNote: Make sure you have a good shaker cup or blender, it’s pretty sticky if you don’t shake it wellCons: – Nothing so far

Tastes fine, but mixes poorly. Should still be good quality protein.
I haven’t bought Optimum Nutrition products in over 10 years. The chocolate tastes pretty much the same: tolerable to good and kind of pudding like. Something else that’s the same, they’ve always mixed poorly. With a shaker you’ll wind up with blobs and smears down the side. Even with an immersion blender I wind up with muddy accumulation on the wand. The only way I found to make certain it’s completely mixed, whether 10 years ago or today, is to pour slowly into a full size blender with everything already moving.Decent protein for the money, but there are certainly better mixing and tasting brands out here.I can’t vouch for the quality of the protein, but I’ll have to assume than O.N. wouldn’t still be around if they were consistently overstating quality claims.

Delicious way to get extra protein
Makes an excellent chocolate shake. I mix with 1 to 1.25 cups almond milk (unsweetened), peanut butter powder (optional), about a tsp of Maca and same of MSM. Thick like a shake..if you want thinner, add water or more milk. If you want even more protein, add pea protein (one scoop) If you want sweeter, add some banana. Can also throw in some ice to make more like a Frosty from Wendys.

This is a great value! In comparison to how much Syntha 6 or other Casein mixes cost this is a better value. The taste is not great but its not bad I just chug it before I go to sleep. Does not upset my stomach at all and I am lactose dairy sensitive. Doesn’t give me gas like other protein shakes either. I feel much better when I wake up when I drink two scoops of this before bed. This is going on my must have list.
