The Gravel Earth Series will be back in 2025 with a few big changes to report.
Notably, the series will become more accessible to riders in North America, with six races in the United States.
Lost and Found Gravel, Core4, Gravel Worlds, Rebecca’s Private Idaho, and Last Grizzly Gravel join the Oregon Trail Gravel Grinder to give North American participants more opportunities to race close to home.
Additionally, the series is putting up a prize purse for the top 10 male, female, and non-binary riders, with €12,500 on the line for each category.

Gravel Earth debuted in 2023 as a gravel series with a twist: the organizers, Klassmark of Girona, wanted to showcase gravel riding in some of the most beautiful and rugged landscapes in the world. The incentive was to attend as many as possible to accrue points toward the final standings.
Since then, Klassmark has expanded on the theme, adding races and tweaking the scoring system, just like they’re doing for 2025.
Next year’s series will feature 25 events in 15 countries, including those in North America as well as Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Chile, with a strong foundation in Europe.

There will be five events in Spain, including the season opener Santa Vall and season finale, Ranxo, both Klassmark events. The Traka, perhaps the hallmark event of the series, will see riders from all over the world descent on Girona the first weekend in May.
Other European races include a new event in Italy called The Hills, hosted in part by longtime Gravel Earth participant Mattia de Marchi, the Rift in Iceland, and races in Latvia, Lithuania, and Finland.
In Africa, the Migration Gravel Race returns for the third time, joined on the continent by a new event in South Africa called Road to Desolation.

The 2025 series will also have a new scoring system “to ensure fair and accessible competition for all participants,” according to the race organizer.
Next year the final ranking will be based on the four best scores of the season. According to Klassmark, “the most challenging, prestigious, and high-level races will offer a 10 percent or 20 percent point increase, reinforcing the circuit’s fairness. The strategic geographic distribution of events, spread across various countries, will allow participants to increase their scores without needing long-distance travel to The Last Dance [Ranxo Gravel].”
Here is the scoring breakdown:

A rider’s final ranking in the Gravel Earth Series will be determined by the four highest scores achieved throughout the year. To be part of the final ranking and be eligible for cash prizes, participants must complete a minimum of four events, including The Last Dance.
Ranxo Gravel in Catalonia will be the venue for The Last Dance, the final event of the season. It is mandatory for those who want to be included in the final ranking and eligible for cash prizes. The Last Dance will also be used as a tiebreaker.
Additionally, the 2025 Gravel Earth Series races will all have age group categories. Learn more about the series, scoring, and mission here.
