The Pixel Watch 3 launched with Wear OS 5, which has also been powering Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 since September – and now it’s coming to older Pixels.
But there may be a few snags in the roll out.
It’s not a massive update – but users will get the new Recorder app, which enables voice recording from the wrist.
There are also new fitness metrics including running dynamics, as well as battery improvements and new watch faces.
But there have been reports of the update borking some Pixel Watches, with a thread on Reddit (including a fix) and bugs noticed by The Verge.
If you’ve been affected by the bug, check out this video.
And if you’re a Pixel Watch 1/2 user looking for the latest software – maybe give it a week before pulling the trigger.
